So your customer sent you payment via a virtual card, and you want to process it to get paid. Processing it is simple. In fact, you already know how to do it - It's exactly like processing any other card payment. You just enter the card details into your point-of-sale terminal as well as the exact payment amount to process the card and get paid.

Virtual cards like any other credit card, include the following details:

  • 16-digit card number
  • Expiration date: Set for 14 days from the payment delivery day.
  • CVC number: Add the three digit security code.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PROCESSING A VIRTUAL CARD:

  • Virtual cards can only be processed once and for the total payment amount.
  • The card details must be entered into a point-of-sale (POS) terminal to be processed as a credit card transaction. This can either be a physical terminal or a virtual terminal that lets businesses process online or remote transactions, without the actual card.
