Add and connect a bank account automatically

Before making payments, you'll need to link a bank account (or as many as you’d like). This takes 1-2 minutes and you only need to do it once.

 

How to add your bank account

There are 2 ways to add a bank account automatically:

  1. When making your first payment.
  2. In the account settings.

 

Add your bank account when making a payment

The simplest way to connect your bank account is when you make your first payment.

1. In Accounts Payable, go to Create a new payment. Follow this article for all the ways to add a bill.

2. Or select a bill to pay.

3. Choose Pay with a bank account when asked how you want to pay.

4. Choose Connect account instantly when asked to connect your bank account.

5. Click Continue to allow Melio, our accounts payable partner, to link your bank via Plaid.

6. Choose your bank from the list. We’re connected to the top 100 banks in the U.S.

7. Can’t find your bank? You’ll need to manually connect your bank account:

a. Click the back arrow to go back to the Connect your bank account menu.

b. Select Connect account with deposits.

c. Follow the two micro-deposits verification process.

NOTE: You won’t be able to make payments until your bank account is verified.

 

8. Fill in your bank account sign in credentials and click Submit.

9. Your bank account is connected successfully and you can start paying your bills.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Accounts Payable is powered by our partner Melio. Make sure to allow Melio to debit your account by adding it to your bank account’s allowlist as an authorized debtor. Provide your bank with Melio’s originator ID codes before making payments through Accounts Payable. You’ll only need to do this once.

Add bank account in settings

1. Sign in to Accounts Payable.

2. Go to Settings.

3. Select Payment methods.

4. In the Bank account section, click Add method.

4. Choose Connect account instantly when asked to connect your bank account.

5. Click Continue to allow Melio, our accounts payable partner to link your bank via Plaid.

6. Choose your bank from the list. We’re connected to the top 100 banks in the U.S.

7. Can’t find your bank? You’ll need to manually connect your bank account:
